Agshin Mirzazade 
Head of Research: Banking, Insurance

Mr. Mirzazade gained his MBA at Duquesne University, Pittsburgh, PA, in 2006 after winning a scholarship sponsored by US Agency for International Development. Prior to that, he had been involved in the banking industry in Azerbaijan since 1996, working as a credit manager with leading commercial banks and international financial donors. He joined Foyil Securities in October, 2006 and in addition to heading the research department he covers banking and insurance sectors.

Evan Ostryzniuk 
Research editor

Mr. Ostryzniuk is a Canadian citizen who has been studying and working in Ukraine for the better part of the past decade. He is a graduate of the University of Saskatchewan, Canada with a Master’s degree in Russian History and completed a doctorate in Modern History from the University of Cambridge in 2000. Mr. Ostryzniuk has been with Foyil Securities for over five years and has contributed to the writing, research, editing, and publishing side of the business. Before that, he worked as a journalist and financial editor in Kyiv and taught European and American History at International Christian University in Kyiv.

Ismail Safaraliyev
Analyst: Oil and Gas, Coke and Metals

Mr. Safaraliyev received his Master of Arts degree in Economics from Duke University in Durham, USA in 2003 after securing a full-time scholarship from US Department of State. Prior to that he held number of senior positions at Baku Stock Exchange in Baku, Azerbaijan.
Before joining Foyil in January 2008, Ismail has worked for British Petroleum in Baku and London as commercial analyst covering projects like Baku -Tbilisi – Ceyhan and Shah Deniz. At Foyil, Ismail covers oil and gas companies, coke producers as well as Metals. In addition to sector coverage, Ismail’s scope at Foyil also includes review of Politics.

Stanislav Kartavykh  
Analyst: construction, pharmaceutical, iron ore, telecoms.

Mr. Kartavykh has a Master’s degree from Kyiv National Economic University. Prior joining Foyil in 2006, he worked as an analyst at several Ukrainian asset management firms.
At Foyil, Mr. Kartavykh covers the construction, pharmaceutical, iron ore, and telecom sectors.

Volodymyr Gabriyelyan
Analyst: Agriculture, Fixed Income

Volodymyr Gabriyelyan graduated from Kyiv National University of Economics with Master Degree in Finance in July 2007. In August 2007 Volodymyr joined “Foyil Securities” as a Fixed Income analyst. Since January 2008 he started to cover Agriculture and Miscellaneous sectors still being responsible for writing monthly reviews of Ukrainian bond market.
